Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
My baby crawled around in the playpen as I sat for 12 hours, sanding the floor as well as removing the wallpaper. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to take shape, however we weren't anywhere near finished. It would take the time, energy, and of course my favourite shopping experience to furnish this house. To stay in my budget I took my sons along to search for gems hidden in estate sales. Every week, we would go through garage and estate sales on Thursdays and Saturdays buying a mixture of new and old pieces. My next task was to spend working on my projects on our front lawn. The furniture I found looked like... this is when my desire to repair furniture began. Even after our house was furnished I couldn't put it down! In the market in town, I rented a small space and sold some items. There were so many pieces I didn't have a clue what to do with them and outgrew the space. Open houses were held in my home where one thousand people would visit over a weekend, and the visitors were able to purchase items on the first level. Growing Days was founded in my own home. When my business grew and so did our small family. I was finding that balance of what it was like starting a new venture while also being a mommy. Growing Days was the obvious decision. Nora my fourth child was born in the year 2013. While I was pleased about the direction my company took, I felt like I was in need of a little break. I decided to put off doing work on my furniture and be at home with the children. It was exactly what I was looking for at the moment. After a few months when the phones began to be ringing. Numerous people reached me seeking advice on home improvement and decorating. These people had mostly visited my house at the open houses that were held for furniture. I started taking on some customers one by one going at my own pace however it wasn't long before I had numerous accounts and had an entire home improvement business. When I first heard about my business in home renovation I was astonished. Indeed, I am laughing a little when I remember the story.
